Freezing

I have a geforce4 ti4200 with 44.03 drivers and i use windvd platinum in windows 2000 to play my dvds. I also successfully updated the firmware on my dvd drive and i use dvd genie to set the regions. half the time, dvds will play and not have a single problem. but the other half of the time, dvds will play for about 10 minutes and freeze. after it freezes, i need to restart the computer or else windvd wont start up again. but, even after i restart, the movie freezes after 10 min, regardless of where i start the movie....BUT....after about 2-5 restarts, the movie freezes after 10 min, but then resumes playing after a few seconds...once this happens, the dvd does not have a problem and finishes without anymore freezes.

im absolutely confused about this....i have absolutely nothin running in the background, and i think that it might have to do with the settings in dvd genie or win dvd....

Is yours a purchased version of WinDVD Platinum?

If not, I think you know the answer to your problem...

hmm...i didnt BUY it, i downloaded it and then cracked it...so no, it isnt a demo version, and remember, it works half the time!

I wasn't suggesting that you had a demo version. You've made my point for me - more often than not, illegal "cracked" versions of this program, as well as other commercial software, don't function properly.

As a final point, problems arising from the use of such software are better discussed at forums other than here...
