    Problems with my Philips 707

    Hello!

I've a Philips 707 DVD player which used to play very well many
kinds of video formats: DVD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, VCD, SVCD, MP3,
    every CD-R or CD-RW, etc.

Few days ago I burned a VCD with some different parameters
(screen format and frame rate). After I put the disk in the DVD
player it started to behave wierd:
    - The movies I made with my Digitam Cam (Sony TRV-330) played
with noise and strange stripes (all the movies burned as DVD,
    VCD or SVCD).
    - The "original" DVD disks played OK (all).
    - Some DVD-R I've burned from "original" DVDs worked OK, but
    some others not...

Could someone help me to solve this problem ?

    Thanks!

    Tarcisio.

Perhaps the problem is related to your camera, rather than with your DVD player...

      Hello!

The movies I made with my TRV330 are OK. They play fine in
others DVD players (also, they used to play fine in my DVD player).

As I mentioned before, all the problem started after I tried to
play a "non-standard" VCD in this player...

I don't know the hardware/software of this DVD player (and
now I'm just guessing...) but, is that possible that the "non-
standard" VCD disk corrupted the "firmware" of the player ?

What should I do in this case ?

How could I reload the correct firmware to the player ?

      Thanks!

      Tarcisio.
