Just got a brand new DVD player - a Compacks DVD5000 which I am very impressed with. 5.1 audio excellent. Good quality picture and sound. Plays everything I throw at it. But, just one little snag which is slowly turning into a very annoying snag and I bet no one can help....
I have my DVD player connected to my Beko 16:9 TV via a scart lead to a 4-way scart box. I have selected 16:9 widescreen playback on the DVD menu and picture is fine.
But, every-so-often my TV automatically changes from 16:9 to 4:3 (as if I have pressed the TV mode button several times) and I get a picture with black borders on either side of the screen. I have to press 16:9 again to widen the screen.
Weird!! Previously had Alba DVD103 connected to TV and had no problems with apart from one DVD that wouldn't play. No problems of this sort. Any advice to someone who's baffled??
