    jetAudio doesn´t play DVDs....

    Hello !

I have the newest version of jetAudio Basic (v5.1.9.3018) and I have the following problem:

VOB-files in "File"-Mode are being played without any problems (from a DVD), but the same DVD isn´t accepted in "Disc"-Mode (like all DVDs).

The same DVDs are being played in WinDVD, ZoomPlayer, ....

    Thank You for any help,
    Xandl

    From the jetAudio homepage:

"(Note) DVD playback needs DVD decoder from third party."

Therefore, I;d suggest you use DVD Genie to register WinDVD's filters to Windows...

      Hello !

I´ve done this registration of the WinDVD decoder, but it doesn´t have any effect....

      Thanks nevertheless,
      Xandl

      addition:

I´ve done the registration with a trial version of WinDVD Platinum; DVDGenie found WinDVD but jetAudio didn´t work.
With my (bought) WinDVD (v3.1) DVDGenie doesn´t find any decoders, no WinDVD....

At the risk of offending you, may I ask how, specifically, you did this?

I've had no problem having DVD Genie register that SPECIFIC version of WinDVD's filters to Windows.

Perhaps you should first uninstall the trial version...

              Hello !

OK, after many tries I installed DVDGenie v4.05 instead of v4.10 and it works now....
WinDVD is being found by DVDGenie and I can register it.

But I´ve the problem, that some DVDs only give me "big pixels" instead of a real picture, even in the menu (so this is no effect of fast motion); other DVDs are being played without any problems.

I think it could be an effect of the copy protection of DVDs (I think this is called MacroVision), couldn´t it ?
              So what to do ?

I thank You for any help,
              Xandl

This is NOT copy protection (Macrovision or any other kind)

If you're seeing this under jetAudio, why don't you simply use your purchased copy of WinDVD? It's made SPECIFICALLY for playing DVDs.
