Hello!!

I have a weird problem so here goes!

I have PowerDVD 5.0 and when I use it to play a dvd it won't play it-- no error messages or anything it just doesn't play--BUT I can use RealOne Player or InterActual Player and it plays with no problems.

I believe RealOne and InterActual don't have thier own codecs infact InterActual says its using the PowerDVD codecs.

So I went to cyberlinks website and uninstalled PowerDVD, removed the registery keys, and also uninstalled my cd burning software just like they said and reinstalled PowerDVD BUT still the same problem.

So I tried WinDVD 5 Platinum and it played but the video was jerky so I just uninstalled it and reinstalled PowerDVD 5.0 and using InterActual Player or RealOne Player to play dvd's.

I really like to keep PowerDVD So if anybody has any solutions or ideas please post.

Hello!!

Its me again I fixed my problem.

Now the problem is when I use PowerDVD to play dvd's the video is kinda jerky and I notice that my LED on my dvd drive flashes erratic--But when I use RealOnePlayer or InterActual Player to play the dvd the video plays nice & smooth and the LED on my dvd drive flashes at a steady pace.

So what the HELL can somebody explain this to me???

I tried every possible configuration in the PowerDVD configuration menu I can't figure it out.

I had AV sync problems on my laptop when using Windows Media Player 9 and WinDVD 4, so I grabbed WinDVD 5 Platinum. This program has AV sync by the balls and solved that problem, but during each chapter skip, the stream re-adjusts itself and seems to skip/jump. I never have these kind of problems on my standalone players. Maybe we have the same type of problem?
