ok, so I installed ffdshow, xvid, divx, vobsub, morgan stream switcher and ogg onto a laptop.
It already had windvd on the machine which played dvds fine in US and UK.
I might add it originally came from america (region prob?)
It played the encoded video fine, but when it came to watching a rented (and then friends) dvd, it would play intially (first chapter?) but then freeze with an error message, and the ROM spinning at speed.
HELP???
Has anyone encountered this.
