    DVD decoder error

    Hi everybody,

I got a new PC with DVD and have this error when insert a DVD into the device:

"There is no Windows 2000 compatible DVD decoder installed..."

The DVD is Matsh ita and the laptop is IBM R40.

    I've installed Windows Media player.

I don't know what to do from here... Is it OS component or hardware/driver dependent ?

    Thanks.

1.Try another player such as power dvd or win dvd
2.Make sure you have your drivers up to date.Insluding your os
    patches and updates.
    3.report back if nothing happens.

      Ok,

With WinDVD it's work fine now. I can play the DVD with my laptop.

Now... the problem is when I connect my TV with S-VIDEO interface, I see all the laptop contains (screen, cursor...). Everything except the film... It apears as a blank screen !!!

      Any Idea ?

      Thanks.

That has to do with your graphic card then.
