Whats a good video production/editing software?

I hear Vegas Video is superb for the job and its user-friendly..Anyone got any experience with it?


What other programs are good?

Vegas is grossly overpriced and is unable to import .vob files & AC3 audio. Costs about 300 pounds.
Roxio 7 imports both .vob files & AC3 audio. Costs 50 pounds.

I have been using Pinnacle Studio for several years now. Version 9 is the most recent. Works pretty good!

MyDVD is easy to use and I have been producing great DVD's from my digi-vid camera and other sources.

If you really get into the program you can really put out a fun DVD. Lots of editing, chapter and background choices.

I used to use Premier and switched.

The site provides info on creating your own backgrounds and buttons in Photoshop if you want.
