    samsung ht db 120 home cinema system

    Im hoping i have better luck with this guys. Down below i asked for info to get my laptops dvd player flashed to make it region free as yet ive had no replies. I have some dvds i got from amazon that are region 1 both my laptop and stand alone dvd are region 2 My stand alone is a samsung HT DB120 home cinema system i cant find it mentioned in the lists on the sticky. Can anyone help. Thanks.

    Samsung HT DB120

    1. Open tray
    2. Remove any disks
    3. Close tray
    4. Switch Off Player
    5. Unplug from mains & wait for 50seconds (RAM will be cleared)
    6. Reconnect to mains
    7. Turn on player with remote.
    8. Press ENTER on remote.
    9. Press 84269 with your remote
    10. Press ENTER on remote. (The tray will open and player will power off and close tray.)
    11. Switch on power from your remote.

          Hmmmm.......I may have been a little hasty with my thanks Decryptit....... I just tried playing a region 2 dvd and now the tray keeps opening and wont let me play it. Any ideas??

            Its not normal try disconnecting it from the mains for 30minutes and try again.

                I did as you asked and switched off for 30 minutes unplugging the player. It now works region free as you said it would........Your da man!! Thanks.

                    Hi Decryptit, I have run through your option for the HT-DB120 for getting the reiogn free sorted. The first time I did it, the tray never opened and closed befreo powering off, so I disconnected the power for about 40 minutes and did it again. The tray still didn't open and close. Is this still fine. I do not have any different region DVD's at the moment so I do not know how to check it other than your comment on the tray opening nd closing.
