"This disc is not formatted to play in this region"

Hello, dear helpers,
Having tried playing from HD a dvd I ripped into it , I get a "This disc is not formatted to play in this region" screen.
I have tried RCE region free patching it, using dvd decrypter v. 3.1.9.0 under: tools>IFO>region patch>region free.
To no avail.
Any Ideas ?

Which program is giving you this error ?

Make sure you have a latest player like win dvd 5 etc.
Afterwards make sure that the directory such as
C:\Videoname\VIDEOTS

You must have the videots folder otherwise you will have problems.

After putting that inorder load the whole folder from your player
OPEN ---> HDD --->Videoname--->VIDEOTS

As you choose videots open it and it will eventually play.

I have the same problem as this.
I have ripped many DVDs usind DVD-Shrink but have for the first time seen this error.
Thsi was on The Simpsons Series 3 box set. This is where it gets wierd though.
When you put the backed up DVD in the DVD player it seems to work okay. Then when you press the Play all button (on the menu screen this is) I get a Fox Pop up window saying The Disk is not formatted for this region. However when selecting the individual episodes some work fine and others display that dreaded pop up. Funnily enough but disk 3 worked fine but the other 3 disks all have the same problem.

Any ideas would be extremely grateful

The problem doesn't seem to be from shrink make sure.
You use a blank dvd +r or -r not RW
Use nero 6 and avoid other burners (just to test)

I use Nero 6 and use DVD+r / -R and nor RW and use Nero 6.
I have done many many DVDs and this is the first problem.
I have done a search for this error and there seem to be people with the same problem always with this Simpsons Series 3 DVD.
Another thing which is wierd. When the disk has been shrank wehn you look at the main movie in shrink you can see the This disc is not formatted to play in this region" in the actual thumbnail picture.

The original DVD works fine

I saw the same error message in the DVD Shrink preview window with the "Footloose" DVD.
