    can't play ISO image

I converted two movies to ISO images, one with DVD shrink and the other with decryptor. Power DVD won't play the ISO images saying it is an unsupported format. What am I doing wrong?

ISO images are a format that puts an entire cd/dvd layout into a single file. In order to be used they either have to be mounted as a drive, extracted, or burned to a disc. They don't work directly.

Thanks. I did burn to a disc using burn software but still same error message. Would I be better off extracting the file first? Using which software? I have the two movies in .ISO format on my hard drive which I would love to burn to DVD.

When you burned the disc did you burn it as an image, or did you just burn the file as a data disc?

If using nero you have to go to File ----> Burn disc image. You can also use DVD Decrypter to burn an image.

I probably burned as a data disc. I'll retry as you suggest. Thanks for advice.
