put your thinking caps on: Divx subs to DVD?

I have a DVD that doesn't have any subs for english and I was able to find some subtitles for a divx rip. The subs for the rip are cut in two for each of the cds.

Is there anyway to convert the divx subs so I can watch them on my DVD?
