Does anybody know or know were I can find a region hack for this Sony DDU1612 DVD-ROM drive to make it region free.

You can use the utility LtnRPC to make the drive region-free. Once you've dealt with the hardware side you'll also need to use a utility like Region Killer or DVD Genie to overcome region-protection in your software player (WinDVD or Power DVD). -
I HAVE THIS DVD DRIVE TOO!!!**but**
I Also have this dvd drive...it USED to work fine but the only problem was that when i tyed to play a regular music only CD..the audio would stutter...NOW if i play a DVD the audio AND video stutter as well..it like plays in slow motion...but a really horrible slow motion...a stuttery one!!! PLEASE anyone help me out...ive been searchin all over the net tryin to find answers but no to avail....this is the first forum ive found talkin bout this specific dvd drive..i even contacted sony and they didnt even want to help me out...PLEASE PLEASE...some one help me out...it will be MUCH appreciated...thanks all....Comment
