PowerDVD 4 low sound vol

I have noted a significant sound volume loss with PowerDVD 4. I have done tests under Windows 98 SE and the sound volume difference between version 3 and 4 is 100% (less in V 4). When installing V4, all the rest of programs are not affected. Even WinDVD sounds properly. I have moved to XP and the problem is the same: sound volume in all windows programs is correct except in PowerDVD.
Any suggestion?

People who used WinDVD will give PowerDVD immediately...
