Does anyone have an idea how to have a region free for windvd 4 as I tried dvd genie but had no luck.

You can try Region Killer if you drive has region-free firmware installed.
If not, Remote Selector and DVD43 are utilities that overcome region-protection in both drives and software players.
Region Free and AnyDVD perform the same function but you have to pay for them (I don't understand why people pay when there are free options available).
