Movies stop and go back to beginning

Hi, I am having some problems with most of the dvds I am trying to burn. Everything seems to go ok until I try to watch them. They stop and at different points in the movies and then go back to the beginning. I don't know what to do to fix this. Someone on this site suggested I use the dvd identify and paste it on here. So, this is the movie "Saw" and below is what I got from it. I am also fairly new at this so if anyone can help me could you please keep it simple? Thank you to anyone who can help.

I have this exact problem, never fails, each movie has usually 2-3 spots where it will just get caught up, then return much earlier in the movie. I have used DVD Dycrypter/DVD Shrink and also tried a friends copy of CloneDVD. If anyone has any idea what's going on please let me know.

As a side note, lots of my roommates collection is from a Blockbuster that he works at and gets for dirt cheap. Many of the faces are less than perfect, is it just a matter of the media having way too many scratches?

Thanks to anyone that can help.
