    UK DVD player in US-help!!

    Hello all,

    I've just returned from living in the UK and have brought my Alba DVD113 player with me (already multi-regional but with a UK elec. plug)

    I plugged it into my american Sharp TV using Audio/Vid out, no SCART, (fairly new TV) but the picture is in black & white and rolls!

    I have used both PAL region 2 and NTSC dvds and this is still the result, so it's not anything to do with the multi-regional aspect disfunctioning.

    I've been using a cheapo voltage converter, but could the problem be that UK signals aren't compatible with my US TV? Not sure how to remedy this, any help is much appreciated!

    it may prove less stressful(and cheaper) to get another player. they are cheap as dirt these days.

      Tecnimagen!!!

      Hi Decryptit
      <HR style="COLOR: #d9d9dc" SIZE=1> <!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->
      I have just bought a standalone Tecnimagen DVDR2000, great machine but only region 2 and no one seems to have the hack for this. In fact there seems to be a complete lack of info. whatsoever about this machine!! I would like to get rid of the region protection and the copy protection without having to purchase the macrovision free scart cable. Someone must have this crack and I challenge anyone to find it! Maybe Tecnimagen are from MARS or something (Barcelona actually)

      Thanks
