My DVD player suddenly has no sound

I haven't used my dvd player for a while. I think the last time I used it I played a cd-rw audio disk on it. Went to play a proper dvd disk & they is picture but absolutely no sound. I took out the scart lead & put it back in. Still no sound. Changed the scart lead. Still no sound. I also noticed that there is no lcd display anymore.

Any ideas??

Sounds as if the DVD player has passed on to the after life. Time to buy a new one.

as long as all connections are secure, and you are sure its not your tv or the disc, yes, your toshiba is finished...
