Can anyone tell me how to backup from a regio 1 dvd to a regon2 copy please im running windows xp profesional

The region removal is easy. What's not is the fact that R1s are NTSC and R2 is PAL.
You can backup the disk in DVD Shrink - there is a tab in the backup dialogue to remove region protection. See the DVD Shrink for Dummies link in my signature to learn how to use this program.
But make sure you have equipment that can play NTSC. It's just too much of a pain to convert it.
