    Playing DVDs

    Yo,

Using DVD shrink, works really well! Thanks to all that contributed.

Anyway, I'm saving them onto my PC, how can I now play them back on my computer, preferably through winamp?

    Thanks,

    Tom

Do a google search for Meda Player Classic, it's good and it is free.

You can even use Shrink to play them back, although you won't have menu features. Just hit F11.

IMO media player classic is your best choice:
"One day men will look back and say I gave birth to the 20th Century". Jack The Ripper - 1888
        Columbo moments...

The direct link to the program is here as well as in the DD link that has instructions for using it. Version 6.4.8.5 is the latest version and has just been released recently and has had a major revision.

@jb1674 & LT: de ja vu!

if you're intent on using winamp, just open the files with it, it should work as long as winamp can play regular dvd's

Most store bought burners should come with DVD player software.

The 3 LiteOn burners I bought online were OEM versions and came with Nero6 and Power DVD5 and were cheaper then the retail package of the same burner from the same place.

gullanian, open the 'video_ts.ifo' file to run the dvd if its already on your hard disk.

if you wish to play from the disc, under 'file', click 'open dvd'

If you had PowerDVD installed, you need to have version 6 or later to click on any IFO file and have it work.
