creative pc-dvd w/ decoder won't play on nvidia 128zx

Setup:
I just built a new system with an STB Velocity 128 8MB AGP video card. I have a Hitachi DVD-ROM with a Creative inlay DVD-Decoder card.
Problem:
No sound or video

I checked the Creative FAQ and they refer to a VPM/VEP set up problem???

They also list this card as compatible with the decoder card. <g>

Please Help!!!
