Doeas anyone knows how to unlock NAD L53 so that it becames multiregional?

The L53 isn't on this list but other hacks might work. Give it a try. I have a NAD (not that model) and unlocked it easily.

These DVD players are usually within same family can accept a similar code...
You bought one, have the receipt, try the codes starting with the L55 if it works great if it buggers the DVD player you can always return it as faulty, no???
Heck 12 month warranty is a pretty good encouragment to try these things I think...Comment

How to do it
Why make it complicated - I called up my NAD dealer and got this instructions:
Power On
Tray Open
Press "DVD" mode on remote
Press "Program" on remote
Press "2519"
(current region setting will be displayed)
Press "8" for all regions
Press "Display" for saving
Power off and on to activiate the new settings.
This worked fine for my L53

Thank you! I got the same instructions and it is working.
Do you have any problems with SRS function? I got sometimes cracking sound with heavy bass in movies, so I have it off. Also, it takes ages to load a CD. Have you the same experience?Comment
