Re: RCA DRC108N DVD Single Disc DVD Player won't play DVD-R

I have an RCA Model #: DRC108N DVD Player, and the manual states that DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD-RW are acceptable formats of dvd's that can be played on this player, however, I attempted to play a Sony DVD-R that had home video put on it, and it would not play, all it would say was loading, and it would just sit there for several minutes and do nothing. Does anyone have this model of DVD Player that has successfully gotten a blank DVD that had a movie or home movie burned on to the disc, to play in this player?

If you have, could please inform me as to what brand (Memorex, Sony, TDK, etc) of dvd media you used, and whether it was DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD+RW or DVD-RW.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
