When I try to play a dvd or media file in PowerDVD 6 I get one of two errors. Either 0xc0000005 or 0xc0000095. I have downloaded and installed the most recent patch but it makes no difference.When I click on the upgrade button it does not show any installed patches!
I have tried both version 5 and PowerDVD XP version 4 and am getting same errors in both. An old copy of version 3 works sometimes, but also shows these errors at other times.
I have all the latest drivers installed and have not installed any new software recently. I have used PowerDVD 6 with no problems for at least 8 months, and these errors have only appeared in the last few weeks.
I can play DVDS in Nero Showtime or Real Player but I prefer PowerDVD, so what can I do?
