      Hello Mrcleantoo

After u insert dvd in player a window should pop up and say " windows can perform the same action each time u insert a disc or connect a device with this kind of file. What do u want windows to do." There will be a list of programs scroll through the list until u see windvd. Click on it then click ok. After that ur dvd's will open up in the program u selected. I agree though with BR7. I would download windows media classic. Great little program. Follow same steps as above if that window pops up. You can also go to explore find your dvd and right click on it and go to properties. Click on autoplay select dvd from list. Click on program to use and click apply and ok. Hope this helps.
