Hello, (system info included at end)
I used to be able to play DVDs just fine with my generic 10x DVD drive, but then then WinDVD started saying that copy protected DVDs will not play on video cards that have the TV Out port enabled.
First, my Diamond Stealth IIS540 doesn't have a TV out. Second, it used to play just fine, it suddenly stopped working (I can hear audio, but no video). I tried using PowerDVD instead, but it won't play video either. I've already checked the drives drivers, unistalled it, taken it out of the system, and nothing worked. I can't link this problem with the installation of any other programs, and there have been no changes/additions to my hardware. I also don't thinks it's a UDMA/DMA problem.
If you have any idea why software would think that a non-existant video port is active on my card, or any other idea, I would appreciate your help.
Thanks.
System info:
Windows 2000 Pro, most recent service pack
AMD Duron 650, Epox motherboard
196MB RAM
AGP Diamond Stealth III S540
(Problem with WinDVD and PowerDVD)
