Movies wont play on DVD players

Hi I am using Ulead Video Studio 9, and I am finding that after creating a disk, the disk wont play on my home DVD player. The disks are finalized and the player accepts the format of disk used, but wont play the disk.
The disks seem to play ok on a friends cheap dvd player but not on my SONY DVD recorder.

Any Ideas?

maybe your sony dosent support the media your using. if its + try -or the other way round try too use good quality discs.........cheers..
