divxg400 problem

I downloaded the 2.7 version of thi filter as recommended. However, for some reason, I cannot get it to work. The filter wont even start in the systray, unless I use the "Force" setting. After that, it shows, but still does nothing. I tried using the filter so that I can add subtitles, but nothing shows in media player, not even the OSD features like remaining time.

I use WMP 7.1 for playback on a Windows 2000 Proffesional OS. Is there anyone out there who can help me?? I cannot use MicroDVD for playback since I need thos damn subtitles on my TV.
