Asian Pirated DVDs WORKAROUND

i have several asian pirated DVDs that wont play in PC. Here's what i found.

i tried using these:
*windvd 3.2 --> won't play
*windvd 3.1 --> won't play
*windvd 3.0.57 --> plays good
*NEW* windvd 4.05.20 --> plays good
*powerdvd 4.xx --> won't play
*powerdvd 3.0.114 --> plays good
*samsung standalone player --> plays good

i'm using win2000 sp2.

my question:
Anybody can figure out why is this happening? Why older powerdvd 3 can play it, while newer powerdvd 4 cannot??

Hey guys i just tried the new windvd 4 IT ROCKS!!!
can speed up playback WITH sound!!
plus many audio effects (environment fx)
