    windvd 3.0 problem

Hi there! Just a question about a little problem I've been having. I just got a toshiba satellite 1900 laptop with windows xp home edition on it. It has a built in dvd player, so when I pop in a dvd windvd automatically starts up and plays the movie. Lately however, whenever I put a movie in, windvd starts up then freezes and the illegal operation alert window pops up. I've tried several different dvds, and I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the player. Any ideas on how to fix this? Or maybe a recommendation of a better player?

    Thanks!

Maybe try a ctrl-alt-del and look at your processes and see if there is some program interfering with winDVD. There must have been something (install....codec.....system alteration??) that you did prior to this problem. You said "lately this is happening" so I assume it worked well before. You might want to check your Device manager and see if there are any conflicts. and check you the settings on your video card.
