When using winDVD 2000 I can only get 2 speaker sound, all other options are greyed out.
I have downloaded both DVD genie and DVD tweaker and yes i can change it to 4 speaker sound or 5.1 surround using these but these do not have any effect - its as if the changes aren't recognised.
I have PowerDVD and can get surround sound with that
