How to put DVD on iPod?

I haven't dealed much with Windows, but this site (http://www.wedontwantnospam.com/) seems to be useful - there are some mp4 and 3gp converters.

give me one good reason, sehnsucht, why anyone should pay for rip-offs like that when available freeware does a magnificent job?

I try not to use freeware, because, I guess, freeware programs are likely to contain viruses.

This site provides a new free program daily. I watch everyday but download sparingly. Occassionally they offer something I want or need. One was Extra DVD Ripper which I use to convert DVDs to my iPod. Site says everything is virus/spamware/trojanware free and I've not had any problems. Featured programs are offered only for 24 hours but they do have a permanent download library. You might check there for a ripper.
