Macrovision problem that NOBODY can seem to answer

OK, I got the 30 sec frame loop fixed with one of those little proggies out
there, anyone know how to get rid of the light/dark scene issue with
macrovision. I am trying to do this with just software fixes, if I get it
fixed I will post the fix for everyone, so PLEASE help me with this problem.
I only need a fix for the input side of the card, the output side is easily
fixed with the tweak program. I have a ton of VHS tapes that I can't get on DVD and I bought ATI AIW 8500dv so I could make VCD's out of my old VHS tapes before they finally crap out.

You might try renaming ATITVO32.dll in your system directory.

Personally I use a Sima Color Corrector. Not the software fix you are looking for but it works.

Sorry...I tried that and it didn't work either. I just really wanted to try and do this with a software fix. I have noticed it quite alot on other forums and newsgroups. I just thought I would try this one and see if I could get some answers. Keep trying people.

I had a similar problem and here was my solution...

          I Used 2 computers. Computer A is a P3 933Mhz with a Hauppauge wincast card and a Geforece2Ultra video card.

          Computer 2 is a P3 1.3Ghz with a GeForce4 MX440.

I ran the VCR output to computer 1 running TVTools 6.5.
Disabling Macrovision with that software. Then I enabled
full screen mode and ran the S-video to computer 2.
I got a near perfect picture. There is still a VERY light banding
that travels from the right side of the picture to the left.
I believe this to be caused by the Hauppauge card. It's
tuner never really seemed to be exactly top notch.
But that flaw is barely noticable and only when the screen is
          dark and still.
I'll try a new capture card one of these times. I think I have an
          old ATI laying around somewhere.
