Smartripper de-Macrovision?

Hi, I hope this forum can help. I used smartripper to copy a dvd to my HD, which will then play in Power DVD just fine- but when I then output the HD copy to VHS macrovision is re enabled! I have an ATI aiw 7500, and the .dll file for enabling mac has been deleted and I am still getting this problem. Any ideas? I got 2 seasons of the Soprano's for xmas, and I don't have a DVD player- just a drive and a 15" monitor!
