Problems getting rid of VHS macrovision

I have not been able to get rid of the macrovision in my Canopus ADVC-100 converter, when trying to convert a vhs tape to an AVI file in the computer. I brought the screwed up macro encoded file into the computer encoded it to MPEG2 and then to the ISO files and brought it into DVD shrink but it says it isnt encoded, and cant get rid of the macrovision that way either. I have followed the directions on keeping the input status button pushed down on the canopus advc100 but the lights never go out and the macrovision persists. I have also tried taking the macro encoded VHS tape and recording to my VX2100 camcorder but the image and sound are still not normal...ANy ideas..plez help guys.. thanks and at wits end.. JOHN

I had the same problem. I held the button down for a LONG time and it finally worked.

    Good Luck
