I couldnt help notice a banner on yahoos site for this self contained dvd ripping/vcd conversion program called DVDsqeeze that was available for download with an undisclosed cost until you install. it claims you could fit an entire dvd onto ONE cdr with NO quality loss. I have a feeling thats a load of BS. the screenshots look like its a pretty basic program that any idiot could learn to use. Is anybody fimilar with this program?? I dont understand why anybody would pay money when the absolute best utilities are free and opensource.

why pay?
why pay money when software is free for the dl
you will learn more with the free software.
i believe that almost all compression has a loss of quality.
with a few exceptions, but again why pay when you encode into lossless quality for free? it is all in the codecno life just digital

Well...I have yet to make a DivX that doesn't lose ANY quality from the original....and yet still stay under 700-750mb. Maybe I'm doing something wrong...I don't know. Don't get me wrong...my quality is good....but not DVD.
I double encode mine....and I use VIDOMI to do it.Comment

Compression = data loss
there is no way arround it.
Near DVD quality is another story
However there sales pitch states perfect quality is nothing more than a sales pitch to get you to purchase there product. The real question is "Define Perfect"Comment
