A too big file comes out

Hi,
I had 2 avi files each about 700MB.
I used VirtualDub to put subtitles in, and codede the file as Divx 5.
The movie works fine subtitels are in good timing, BUT now each Avi file is about 1.1 GB so I can't burn the movie into 2 cd's as I want.
how can I compress them?

You have to set the proper bitrate in the divx codec configuration.
