    hi i'm trying to burn harry potter on a cd but i've got a question: is it normal after the cd is complete there is 4 folder on the cd which are:

    ext
    mpegav
    segment
    vcd

    when i wanna play it on my computer i've got to go get the file .dat in the folder mpegavand doesn't wanna play on my dvd player.

    i'm i doing something wrong if yes can someone tell me what.

    You have created a VCD.

    This is the right method to use if you wish to play the disc on your stand-alone DVD player (if it supports VCDs). Otherwise, if you only want to play it on your PC and nowhere else, simply burn the AVI onto the CD (without converting it to VCD), ie. simple back-up.

        Why don't you head over to http://www.toshiba.com/tacp/dvd_main.html and find your model? Surely you can't expect any of us to know which model you own without knowing its model no. nor its appearance.
