Nero Change aspect ratio

Nero changes aspect ratio from 16:9 to 4:3 Cannot figure out why. Any help?

Use TMPGEnc to create the mpg file. It will give you better control on what to do with the source file.

I use clad to rip the dvd. Then i use dvd2avi to create the avi file.
I then use tmpgenc to create the mpeg file. If i play the mpeg file before i burn it, the image is 16:9. For some reason, after i burn it with nero the aspect ratio is changed. I have created many vcd movies this way and somtimes nero changes the aspect ratio and somtimes it does not. Any other suggestions?
