    F*ck a whole lot of that sh*t

If this is the future of our OS's, then i'm sticking with Win98.

And no wonder why my windowsupdate has been endlessly bugging me about that new windows media player 7 security update...
I also thought it was a little fishy, considering I don't even have media player 7.

      Quote:

The most charitable view of TCPA is put forward by a Microsoft researcher: there are some applications in which you want to constrain the user's actions. For example, you want to stop people fiddling with the odometer on a car before they sell it. Similarly, if you want to do DRM on a PC then you need to treat the user as the enemy.

      End quote

Fiddling with the odometer won't make the car run faster or more efficiently. If this goes through, it would be more like you would have to go to a mechanic everytime you wanted to put more oil in the car.

Ah, but you see, why should we go to a mechanic every time we want to put oil in our car, and pay 100 dollars to do it. Personaly, I like to do things myself, cheaper in the long run, and you know if it was done right.
