Anyone help a newbie muppet ?

Firstly lo all. i have been browsing through for a couple of weeks but have just decided to upgrade my dvd to play "other discs"

Hoping someone can help me, i`ve got an AVI that i want ot convert to VCD.

I`ve read the help files and loaded TMPGEnc and have managed to load my avi onto it and start to convert.

However i keep getting this error which stops me carrying on.

    Error -1227332981 509152

It keeps coming up and wont continue until i click on it.

Any ideas ? I`m using the latest version and am running the exe from a created folder. Have i missed something and not installed it properly ??

Apart fromt hat anyone reccomend another proggy to do what i need ??

    Thanks

    Russ

Did you download and install the REQUIRED companion VFAPI file from the same site that you downloaded TMPGEnc?

hmm strange, it works with another file but still gives the error with the other, oh well never mind.

Whats best to fit the file onto the cd ?

Either splt in programme into 2 smaller mpg files and then burn

or use a avi spliter (dont know of one)

Once i have the files, i have nero 5.5, whats the best settings to use to burn for dvd.

Any help appreciated, or links to help me files.

          Cheers
