What is the best capture resolution for PANASONIC NV-MX300?

    I read in http://nickyguides.digital-digest.com/interlace.htm :
"For better sources such as a direct broadcast feed, DV, or DVD video, Half D1 resolution of 352x480 is fine."
My new video-camera Panasonic NV-MX300 offers a top quality for image and sound. What is the best capture resolution to exploit almost 100% of this quality?
My first try with Ulead 5.0 and ATI AIW 8500DV: Capturing in intermediate mpeg-quality and rendering to PAL SVCD, 480x576, 25 f/s, 24bit, video bit-rate 2460kbps, Audio 224kbps,layer2, 44.1kHz, joined Stereo. Result on my stand-alone DVD-Player Pioneer DV-444: good, but not so good as my source of NV-MX300.

It's always better to capture at high resolutions such as 640 x 480 because if it doesn't look good you can always shrink it down where if you capture at low resolution, your stuck with it.
