    Very Basic Help with VCDs

    Pretty Basic Questions:
First: I have several movies downloaded that are larger than 700MB. I have tried several programs for creating VCDs, but can't get any of them to work. Is having 256MB enough RAM for this? Do I need to add more?
Second: Is there no user friendly software package out there yet that will convert prettty much any movie file (.mpg or .avi) to VCDs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

    256MB is enough for encoding.
The software you need is TMPGEnc. You can download it at http://www.tmpgenc.net
Guides for converting almost everything into VCD are at http://www.vcdhelp.com
