how do i copy a dvd to play on my ps2?

I don't know about copy (to DVD-/+R(W) ), but I GUESS that, if you make a mini-DVD, it should work on a PS2. You lose a lot of quality, but I think it works...

do you have a mod chip for your playstation 2, coz i am pretty sure you need one to play burnt DVD's

you dont need a mod chip to play burtn dvds inyour ps2. but i cant get mine working ive been told to alter the IFO files

You might want to look at +R media, from what I have heard it is the most compatible for movie dvd's to play on PS2's.
