Simply, can this be done?
SKY+ records DD5.1 films "as is" with AC3 soundtrack and I can play this back into my DD5.1 amp no problem.
Commercial DVD recorders (like Panasonic E30) never have AC3 recording they mix down to stereo
So the question is....
Can I get a card that accepts the optical lead into my PC?
I can resample the video from the scart into the PC using MPEG capture card
I then need to recombine them into VOBS
Has anybody tried to do this or is it a non-starter?
