problem playing AVI files

I have Mac OS9 and QT6 and am having problems playing AVI files, I just
get a white screen when I try to view the movie. I have placed Indeo 4+5
and v3.3.2 and also divX yet STILL cannot view AVI. Help anyone?, thanks

Yea I spent a LONG time trying to fugure out how to play divx on a mac. There are like 2 programs that say they will but I havent been able to get any of them to work. but that was last year so im not sure if anything new has come out.
