HELP - Trimming Ending credits off the end of DivX Files

I want to make backups of all the rips that I have made, the problem is that alot of these are just over 700Mb (I only have a CD burner). I have tried AVi Chop but that left me with no sound, I know you can do it in virtual Dub, but that requires me to resynch the audio.
All I want is a nice and simple utility that I can say knock the first 5 Mb off the start of the file and the last 30Mb from the end and not have to worry about resynching audio. Surely this must be possible as you can view partial avi's with sound.
    Please help me with this,

    Thanks

Nandub should be able to do it properly for you.

As for quick and easy utilities, you might try avisplitcalc,
Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.
