    Can dialogues be removed?

    Hello,

I'd like to record the music included on a DVD sound track. Once the track is extracted from the DVD, is there any method or program for removing the dialogs and sound effects, so as to get the desired music?

    Thanks.

In Virtualdub you may be able to manually cut off sections from the soundtrack.

      Thanks for your reply. Batman.

But I mean, in a sound track with dialogues, sound effects and music all mixed together, is there any filter or sound utility such as Sound Forge to perform a "voice removal", that is, to obtain only the music without any dialogues on it?

(I know it must be quite difficult...)

Even on a 5 channel surround audio stream I doubt the music is recorded on a seperate channel to the speech. And if you tried to use software to remove speech your music is likely to lose a lot of quality.

        Get the soundtrack seperately
