Max bitrate for divx on cd

Is 1500kbps in divx5 to high to be read from a 32x cd rom? It plays fine from the HD, but it's not smooth at all from the cd. Or is there something else to consider?

    Anyone having a idea?

Its probably too high a bitrate for cd playback. If allowed, you might want to "enable dma" as it speeds up data transfer.

No, 32x should be more than enough to read 1500kbps, and much much more for that matter.

Make sure that you have enabled DMA, this is set in the DeviceManager in the IDE-ATAPI controllers ( you need to know which controller the CD-Rom is attached to).
Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.
