well guys is there an software that can make me view avi files if they r incomplete or corrupt like when i'm downloading a big file and want to see part of it before continuing download to make sure it's the one i want?
A little tip for you. Make a copy of the partial AVI file and use that as the "guinea pig" for DivFix instead. This avoids potential complication when resuming the AVI file.
I started a download of a divx movie, made a copy of the file (called it 1.dat) and divfix opens it but gives me a message "not an avi file" when I try to rebuild the index. What gives?
I've also tried to name it 1.avi ....keeping the original ..am I using this utility wrong...
I know it's an avi file, cause when it finishes downloading, I am able to view it in media player. It seems like everything downloads as .dat while it is downloading! Any ideas?
now I can open the .dat file ...it tries to rebuild the index then gives me an error offset message ...but then does build a
divfix.1 file... windows media player plays it but the screen is blank... I downloaded 10,000 bytes.
